Scholarship Applications Due March 1
The Grand Lodge Scholarship Foundation awards one $2000 scholarship in each Masonic district. Applications must be submitted to a District Deputy Grand Master by March 1. The award is made by May 1 each year and is paid directly to the student.
The scholarship application is available on the Grand Lodge web site at http://freemason.com/forms/2008_Scholarship_Application.pdf or from the Grand Secretary. Applications require a signature by a school official to confirm certain information, so students must allow time to properly complete the application. The deadline for submission is March 1. Applications received after that date cannot be considered.
Scholarship winners will be invited to the district's Grand Masters reception.

Grand Lodge Education Program:
The Grand Lodge website now has three courses available online to take. You have to take it online. You can now print it out and work at your leisure and send it in as before. Make sure you have the NEWEST UPDATES FOR THE CODE before you take this course. There are twenty questions. (Multiple choice and true and false). When you are done it grades it automatically. It tells you which questions you got right and wrong but does not give the correct answer for the wrong ones. This is an excellent tool for the Lodge Officers to use. The point is not knowing so much the answer to every question but rather knowing where to locate the answer in the code book. More courses are being developed at this time. So give this a try. |
